It has been a little bit since my last update.  We have good news and bad news.  The good news is that the frag tank is up and running, and I have added a clean up crew and the afac frags.   the only thing I am still missing is a powerhead for it.  The bad news is that our first frag, the peace favia has rtn'd.  It is no longer with us.  We tried everything and even gave it back to juice, but it was too late.  To all who chipped in on this one, I am sorry, but this was to be expected.  Losses will happen we just try to limit them as much as possible.  Anyway, we have a new buy coming up.  I will have a vote on the vote page.

Hey everyone, so some changes have been made.  I have updated the photo gallery with some new pics, some are growth shots, and I have a couple pics of our newest additions.  I have also been busy on the frag tank.  It's taking a lot of money but here is what I got so far...

First I cut out the basic design I wanted

Then got some egg crate, traced the cutouts and cut.

To see how it looks i put the crate between 3 Pieces of live rock (which will seed everything else)

now time to smash the base rock and place on the egg crate

Last I used Great Stuff foam to fill the gaps.  I then used locktite epxy to protect the foam from uv damage.  Waiting for the epoxy to cure, then will try to make the stuff stay underwater somehow.

So far things are going well.  Everything has survived the move!!!  The Dendro has babies that continue to grow.  The Darth Maul chalice has grown a new eye.  The peace favia, our first purchase was not doing well, looking rather pale and not eating, and is now in the care of Juice as he attempts to get it healthy again.  The pale spot on the Gold Digger Chalice that I was concerned about is no longer there, looks great but not growing very fast at all.  The rest of the corals are doing well but in a growth holding pattern.

We have just made the decision to get the Matrix Acan from Juice and hopefully will get it soon!

I have not set up the frag tank yet, as I am waiting to get some money to get some live rock and sand.

Mac has donated a tank, power strip, many bulbs, 3 filters and made a stand and light fixture and wired up some spare ballasts he had!

Just letting everyone know that AFAC's new corals have been purchased.  We bought a PPE Blasto and a beautiful Red Dendro..

Hey Guys we have some corals up for a vote.

The ancient earth echino and watermelon blast are a package deal. They are on ebay and can probably get both for under $150. atm they are at $100 for the both.  The only thing is we need to bid by monday

The Rastafarian chalice is the most expensive on here, at $175, which would be $33 each plus tax. I'll eat the paypal charges if this one is voted on.

The Pink Skinned read head dendro is a pretty rare variety and looks wicked. The price is $100 for one head or $25 each plus tax/paypal.

The OG Chalice lists for $60, but I can get us a frag big enough for each of us to get an eye or two for $100.

The PPE Blasto will be $160 for 2 heads
